Avoid young preachers that covet the mantles of only rich and popular preachers, they will give you disease.

Let’s even be truthful to ourselves. How many pastors that have been sowing seed to Papa Oyedepo for the past 20years, with the hope that God will make them what He made him are 5percent like him today? Because I know many that sent all the money from their churches to Papa Oyedope but today, they don’t even have churches again and nothing to eat.

I know a very sound and genuine minister who sold all his 2 costly cars and sent all the money to Papa, with the hope that what is happening in Canaan land will happen in his ministry. Unfortunately, today, he is into fulltime bus evangelism and when I asked him about his church, he said, there was no more money to pay rent. They folded and he said, that at almost 60, he is not ready to start anything church again.

He spent over 15years of his days in his church, sowing seed, pursuing the God of covenant university pursuing the God that built 100 thousand capacity and not the God that sent His only begotten Son. Why must what is happening in Winners happen in your own ministry? If I were you, I will cry to God to save you from yourself, because, the success stories of others are making you to abandon the story God is telling through you.

You can still be holy and foolish. That is why we need the holy ghost to fix our motives on daily basis, especially in what we want to use God to become. The God that made Oyedepo does not want to make another Oyedepo. He wants to make you, not to build universities and big auditoriums. Your only assignment might be to be used to convert cultists to evangelists and hook up ladies into prophetesses.

Remove your eyes from the successes of others so that you will not become an enemy to yourself. Jesus did not pray: “Let it be done in your community as it is done in Winners or Dunamis…” But, “let it be done on earth as it is done in heaven…”

You can look unto Winners and miss the mark but you cannot look unto Heaven and miss it. Honestly, with tears in my eyes, I pity this young generation of preachers who have been taught to worship success.

The money they should use to organize open field crusades, they are sending it into the account of successful preachers, to tap their grace. The youthful passion they should use to be mobilizing their members around their streets, evangelizing, making Jesus known, they are using it to be traveling up and down monthly, looking for big preachers to endorse them.

I don’t care the story any successful preacher told you that made him successful. Me, long ago, i made my choice to believe the word of God more than the rhetoric of men. “He that wins a soul is wise…”… Not he that identifies with a successful preacher. I pray this generation will not travel too far in ignorance before their eyes open to see that they are setting themselves up against God.

Before you accuse me of not honoring fathers, ask questions, in my age bracket, none might have honored and defended the vulnerabilities of fathers as I do, but early enough i chose to go for souls than to go for the endorsement of fathers and I am still watching to see how God will watch me fail. The moment you are sowing that seed so that you too will build cathedral or command respect the way that celebrity preacher commands, you have told God that you are yahoo yahoo who wants to use Him to become rich and popular.

And God can never trust a soul trader like you. Jesus did not die for us to become loyal sons of fathers and mothers when we have lost or missionary acumen and all our evangelistic attack.  Don’t follow this generation and bury your very unique ministry. You don’t need for us to call you successful pastor.

The Bible says that God is the judge of all and I think what He says about you should matters more to you. Must you even build big cathedral to make a statement for God in your time? An intercessor who is faithful inside his room, praying for other preachers faithfully might not have material things to brag with. But before God, he is more valued than all of us who are busy trying to duplicate what God is doing in Winners.

Ask God to ignore the days of your ignorance trying to become what He made someone else. You have already wasted years pursuing results God is not interested in for you. Its not too late to find your way back to alignment. So that you don’t waste your energy in vain pursuits.

I may not be talking to you. The persons I am talking to will appreciate this burden and I am sure that God will give us understanding.
